The catalogue for an exhibition in Tokyo of work by Jennifer Bartlett. These works came out of a commission Bartlett was offered by Homan-Ji Temple in Choshi-shi, Japan. She produced 316 individual paintings on paper and installed them directly onto paneled sections of the Buddhist temple ceiling. Inspired by this work, she then produced a suite of 112 paintings on handmade mulberry paper, working with Japanese pigments and squares of gold, silver and platinum leaf over her traditional grids.
